Dottie and Don G. of Williamsburg, VA asked Apple Door of Williamsburg to design a new entryway for their sunroom last summer. They had clipped a picture from a magazine that they wanted to replicate on their home. After many iterations and drawing submissions, a design was accepted. As an architect, Don was very particular about the placement of the grids and how the system would work for this application. The original three sliding patio doors were replaced with a single patio door system in the center, flanked by two oversized sidelites and a new transom above. This project provided the access they needed as well as an architecturally pleasing design. And it matched the magazine article pretty closely too!
