Apple Door of Waynesboro
Apple Door Systems was founded in 1973 by Hubert Apple in Richmond, Virginia. With the help of his son, Dan, the business found much success in the Richmond area and opened the first satellite store in Mt. Crawford in 1989. It was followed in 1990 by the first Charlottesville store and in 1992, the two stores merged and became Apple Door of Waynesboro. Apple Door of Richmond employees, Pam and James Weeks, headed up the Apple Door of Waynesboro branch, eventually purchasing the location becoming the first independently owned Apple Door store.
In 2014, James and Pam Weeks began their transition into retirement after more than 30 years each with Apple Door. Pam started with Apple Door as a receptionist and James began working in the warehouse and as a technician.
After 25 years of successfully growing the Waynesboro location into a thriving independently owned store, Pam and James have decided to pass the torch phasing out their presence over the next few years. Pam and James children Sheree and Wayne will take over ownership in the new few years. They have been working in the family business for many years, Sheree serves as the Office Manager and Wayne as the Company’s Operations Manager.
Sheree and her husband Casey live in Stuarts Draft are the proud parents of three little girls, Emily, Ava and Ivy and Wayne and his wife Kari live in Waynesboro with their son Caleb and a beautiful daughter Allie.
The Weeks family has worked very hard to provide unparalleled customer service and quality products to the families in the Waynesboro area. Their commitment to customer service has helped them to build an exceptional family business.
