David W. of Chesterfield County needed to replace his old warped and rotting wooden garage doors. He wanted something with low maintenance, energy efficient and with the look of wood. Apple Door of Richmond proposed and installed two new 9 X 7 C.H.I. Model 2752 fiberglass garage doors. The new doors are 2" thick and have a three layer construction made of an exterior fiberglass skin, a 2" insulated cavity of polyurethane insulation and a 25 gauge steel interior skin. The 2752 has an incredible 15.07 R-Value, among the highest available today. The customer selected a "Monticello" arched glass top section that has platinum colored caming which gives the door an upscale look. The door was finished in a walnut woodtone which gives the look of a wooden door without the maintenance. All things considered, this home has much greater street appeal with the new doors.
